it was a great day. We did skipping, throwing balls, racing and tug of war. I really loved it. We were very proud of Jed as he came first, Hannah came second and kate third. Tom came third too.

It was so lovely to have the year 2's visit and do some art with us. Only problem was the batteries went flat - all four of them!

What a fantastic day! First of all a big thanks to the parents who were superb team managers, your help is always appreciated. Great work to all the Mahana kids who were very well behaved and showed great spirit! Overall our rugby and soccer team were placed second and hockey third equal. You are all stars - well done*****

Tasman Makos come to visit Mahana

Joel and James came to talk to us about some skills of rugby. Joel told us of the times when he was younger and he used to jump over the half line and he thought it was the try line!!! The whole school laughed and thought it was really funny. I hope the Tasman Makos come to visit us again and win their game against Otago on Saturday. There are free tickets for kids to come and watch this game. If you have any face paint or clothing like a top of the Tasman Makos could you wear it and cheer for the Tasman Makos.

Mrs F was back in the Middle Room!!!

The kids really enjoyed having Mrs F teaching them today. In the afternoon the children listened to the Jabberwocky and created pictures of what he looked like, great work!
